2. Personal data we may collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Upskill Bee and the services you use. We aim to collect only information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

- Contact details, including email address, telephone number, and WhatsApp number where provided.
- Registration information, including your current role or profession and any other information you choose to provide during workshop registration.
- Optional information, such as your city, industry, experience with AI, learning objectives, questions for trainers, or other details you voluntarily share.
- Workshop participation information, including attendance, duration of participation, chat messages, poll responses, and questions submitted during a live session.
- Recording-related information where a session is recorded, including your name as displayed, voice, image, and chat messages.
- Communications, including emails, messages, support interactions, and call notes when you contact us.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages visited, referring website or advertising campaign, and cookie identifiers.
- Payment-related information for paid programmes, such as billing name, transaction reference, and payment status. Card and bank details are handled by the relevant payment provider and are not intended to be stored by us.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as government identification numbers, health information, or financial account credentials to register for a free workshop. Please do not send such information unless it is specifically required for a legitimate and stated purpose.
3. How we receive your personal data
- Directly from you, when you complete a registration form, attend a session, reply to a message, participate in a survey, or contact us.
- Automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you browse or use our website.
- Through advertising and lead-generation forms where you submit your information through platforms such as Meta or Google and the information is passed to us.
- Through our service providers and technology platforms when necessary to deliver the services you have requested.
4. Workshop and free-session registrations
When you register for an AI workshop or other free session, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and current role or profession. Registration forms may also request optional information such as your city, industry, experience with AI, or learning objective.
We may use registration information to:
- Register you and confirm your place.
- Send schedules, joining links, reminders, and session updates.
- Manage attendance and provide workshop support.
- Answer questions and respond to participant requests.
- Understand participation and improve workshops, landing pages, and related services.
- Share information about related Upskill Bee programmes where permitted by applicable law and, where required, with your consent.
A “free” workshop means that no fee is charged for that particular session. Registration for a free workshop does not by itself enroll you in a paid programme. Any paid programme is subject to its own applicable terms and pricing, which will be presented before payment.
5. WhatsApp, SMS, email and phone communications
Operational communications
If you register for a workshop or use one of our services, we may contact you by email, WhatsApp, SMS, or phone for operational purposes. These communications may include registration confirmations, joining links, reminders, schedule changes, support, and other information necessary to deliver the service you requested.
Marketing communications
Where permitted by applicable law, we may send information about future workshops, courses, offers, events, surveys, or related educational products. Where consent is required, we will rely on your consent or another lawful basis. You may opt out of marketing communications by following the instructions provided in the communication or by contacting us.
WhatsApp is operated by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
6. Recording of live sessions
Some live sessions may be recorded for quality review, team training, educational replay, or related operational purposes. If a session is recorded, we will communicate this to participants at the start of the session.
Recordings may capture your voice, image, name as displayed, and chat messages. If you prefer not to appear in a recording, you may keep your camera and microphone off and, where the platform permits, use a display name of your choice.
Recordings are treated as confidential and are not intended for public release without appropriate permission. Access may be limited to authorised personnel and relevant service providers who need the information for the purposes described in this Policy.
7. How we use personal data
We use personal data only where permitted by applicable law or where the required consent has been obtained. Depending on the circumstances, our basis for processing may include consent, providing a service you requested, complying with legal obligations, protecting our services, or another lawful basis.

- Payment processors used when you purchase a paid programme.

- A successor business or transaction-related party where Upskill Bee is merged, acquired, reorganised, or transferred.
